Alex Turnbull​ - CEO

Alex joined Manuka Health in September 2021 as CEO. He brings a passion and energy to accelerate the growth and transformation of Manuka Health into a globally loved health and wellness brand.

Alex is a senior executive leader with global experience across a range of roles, complex organisations, and major international food markets. Most recently, he assisted New Zealand’s Ministry of Health with their COVID-19 response around critical medical equipment needs. He holds a Chemical & Materials Engineering degree (University of Auckland) and P.G Diploma in Dairy Science and Technology (Massey University).

Alex champions the Manuka Health way - to Live Potently. Known for his positive energy and transparent approach, Alex aspires to bring the best of New Zealand nature to our consumers, customers and our people, staying balanced and inspired spending time with his wife and 3 children, playing guitar and practicing his favourite sports.

Kate Kember - General Manager Marketing & Innovation

Kate Kember

Kate Kember joined Manuka Health in 2016 and leads as GM Marketing and Innovation. Kate is passionate about taking New Zealand brands, products and stories around the globe and thrives on New Zealand businesses succeeding on the world stage.

Kate’s focus is to develop and enable high performing teams through clarity, autonomy and a deep respect for the strengths and perspectives individuals can bring if empowered. She values the power of purpose leading business and the strength of clear connected strategy, underpinned by authentic values that capture the heartbeat of the company.​

Kate brings 20 years of experience across B2C, B2B and corporate marketing, product management and innovation. Alongside her executive role at Manuka Health, Kate currently serves on two industry boards as Member Director of the UMF Honey Association and Apiculture New Zealand.​

Kate is a mum to two primary school children who keep her entertained and busy with their passions for sport, dance, and creativity. She also loves to travel, particularly for the food and culture.

David Campbell - General Manager Supply Chain

Dave Campbell

David Campbell is Manuka Health’s General Manager of Supply Chain. Previously our General Manager of Apiculture Operations where he built the number one Manuka honey production business in the country from scratch, Dave has more than 10 years’ agribusiness experience and has been a beekeeper for over 20 years. ​

Dave is also qualified Veterinary Scientist and a Nuffield Scholar. He is respected for his dairy sector achievements including developing and leading unique livestock performance strategies, management of multi-farm businesses and on-farm innovation.​

At Manuka Health Dave oversees the entire operations and apiculture functions, ensuring we continue to source and produce the highest quality bee products with a strong focus on process improvement and agility to achieve excellence.

Syntia Leite - General Manager People and Culture

Syntia Leite

Syntia brings her extensive global People and Culture experience to Manuka Health, having worked in small and large corporations, start up's and IPO’s, and in various industries including FMCG, IT and Telecommunications. Before moving to NZ in 2017, Syntia was the HR member of the executive team at Kraft Heinz responsible for the expansion of the business in the APAC region.

Born in Brazil and having worked in many other countries including China and Singapore, she has been an advocate of collaboration and inclusion as an HR standard practice to create a high performance culture.

At Manuka Health Syntia is leading the People and Culture area, supporting the company and the people to grow and become the very best they can be.

Syntia is a mother of two who appreciates the balance of working and being with her family and friends, and is always up for any sports. She has a bachelor in Business Administration, MBA from Fundacao Dom Cabral and is an ICF Certified Coach.

Anoushka Hatch​ - General Manager Finance & IT

Anoushka Hatch

Anoushka is a seasoned financial professional with experience across a variety of industries in public practice, as well as senior commercial roles in FMCG, and corporate assurance.

Anoushka most recently played a major role at My Food Bag through their IPO journey and implementing their ERP system, where she gained a reputation for successfully working with young companies.  She brings top-tier experience in building and training finance teams. Anoushka had a decade of experience with KPMG across their Assurance and Corporate Finance practices. 

Anoushka has a keen eye for developing young and innovative businesses that New Zealanders love; and is passionate about supporting high growth companies to reach their potential.

Anoushka is also a mother of four sport-mad kiwi kids and is a passionate mental health advocate.
